Lampblack

2013
Eau de Parfum
Bruno Fazzolari

Bruno: A cult favorite that's both unusual and classic. Lampblack is named for the pigment in India ink, formerly made from the soot of oil-burning lamps. The scent enhances the ink-like notes of nagarmotha and balances them with vetiver to create a transparent, colorful darkness.

Sparkling citrus opening of sweet orange and bitter grapefruit and black pepper followed by the Inky note of cypriol and vetiver balanced by the elegant sweetness of benzoin resin. Lamplack is dark and colorful, modern and classic.

Dave: Bright, peppered citrus and inky, rubbery smoke threaded by vetiver. Fresh darkness. Lampblack was a finalist for the 2014 Art and Olfaction Award in the Artisan category.

Lampblack Notes: Sweet orange, black pepper, bitter grapefruit, nagarmotha, benzoin, vetiver, inky notes.
