YOSH - Yosh Han

Yosh is currently traveling with Remote Year and will be living in a new city around the world each month for a year with 79 other digital nomads. While traveling, she will pursue her art project Scent and Ceremony to discover how local cultures around the world use scent and flavor to create soulful ceremonies, especially in exotic locations with sacred vortex energies.

In 2004, Yosh created a collection of perfumes inspired by chakra energy. Her eponymous perfume collection is sold in haute parfumeries around the world like Barneys New York, Liberty, London and Isetan, Tokyo. Her men’s fragrance König won the Golden Pear award for Best Fragrance from the Institute for Art and Olfaction in 2014. Her scent art has been featured in San Francisco at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Asian Art Museum, Kearny Street Projects and The Bureau of Urban Secrets. She has collaborated with notable artists and writers such as Natalie Jeremijenko, JT LeRoy/Laura Albert and Dave Eggers’ 826 Valencia: The Pirate Store where she was the original Purveyor of Pirate Supplies for two years.

Some of her consulting clients include: Pernod Ricard, Women & Whiskies for Campari, Olmeca Altos tequila, The Battery, Faith Popcorn’s Brain Reserve, The Futures Company, Sturm und Drang, DARPA, CIA Napa, One Kings Lane, Anthropologie, GiltGroupe, Haute Look and Infinity Motors.

In her free time, Yosh is an avid open water swimmer; highlights include swimming the Golden Gate Bridge swim as well as the swim from Alcatraz to South End Rowing Club. While swimming in various bodies of water, she has encountered manta rays, dolphins, whales, sea otters among under water creatures. She has an affinity for the Ocean as it’s one of her main communication channels to the Supreme Being.
