Rodrigo Flores-Roux

Passion! This one word describes Rodrigo Flores-Roux and his approach to perfumery and life in general. “To me, fragrance is all about the quest for beauty, pleasure and perfection.” he says, and he pursues it with an all-consuming fervour and enthusiasm. After more than two decades of experience in the industry, Rodrigo has acquired profound knowledge of his craft, but what makes his style so thoroughly original is the high-voltage energy and exuberance he brings to his work. His fragrances have complex personalities, a sensual interplay of nuances, exhilarating storylines, and of course, his passionate touch.

Rodrigo was born and raised in Mexico City. He studied biology in Mexico before moving to France at the age of 20 in 1989 to attend the ISIPCA perfumery school at Versailles. Although he started out designing scents for shampoos and cosmetic products, he broke through into fragrance with Clinique Happy. He is currently with Givaudan, holding the position of Senior Perfumer and has worked on top brands from Tom Ford to John Varvatos.
